Joanne “Joan” Redshaw is the secondary antagonist in the anime graphic novel series,
“My Life as An American Hero”. She's the daughter of Clifford and deceased mother, Karen
Redshaw. She is also Second-in-Command of the Black Brigade and a Yangire.
EARLY LIFE:
Joan was born in Little Falls, New Jersey where she had a good life. She was a great student,
always volunteered in extra curricular activities after school, many of her teachers liked her, but
her life changed after Clifford wanted to use the Vitanium for power.

At age 12, Joan was beginning to feel obsessed with power just like Clifford and was very close
to him than her mother after learning that her mother wanted to expose him for his conspiracy
theories. One night she learned about her mother's plan to expose Clifford with the help of her
father, Retired FBI Agent Seymour Miller. After learning about it, Joan threatened Karen and
then kills her the night she got back from the grocery store.

During her first encounter with Silvia, Joan reveals that she was the one who planted the
explosives at the World National Bank and at the Cocoa City Police Department. She tells
them she brought down the Bank, which killed John and led the raid at the Police Department
that killed almost all the officers.

ABILITIES:
Although Joan doesn't have super powers, she does have high combat skills after two years
of training. She can also enter Combat Mode, which allows her to fight against opponents with
special powers.

YANGIRE MODE:
Since childhood, Joan was very close to Clifford for the type of father he was to her; She remained super loyal to him for the fact that Karen was barely there due her job as a Federal Prosecutor, but her angel side suddenly disappeared after Karen spent more time at her Federal Prosecutor Job than with her and Clifford. Thinking that she betrayed her, Joan entered the First Stage of her Yangire Mode. In this mode, she starts thinking negatively and starts absorbing negative thoughts in her head. Joan then enters Yangire Mode Stage 2 after learning the type of person Karen was; focusing more on her jobs and bosses instead of her family. In this mode, Joan becomes unmerciful, starts to think exactly like a dangerous serial killer and about murder, blood and death. She killed both Karen and Seymour while in that stage. Joan awakens Stage 3 of her Yangire Mode after killing Seymour. In this Mode, Joan enters a psychotic state. she laughs maniacally after she does something dangerous, like trying to bring down the Washington Monument or after she kills someone she despises she gains a bit of Yandere symptoms, except she isn't one. Lastly, there's Yangire Mode Stage 4. In this mode, Joan is at a complete berserk state. Her rage builds continuously; thus causing her to go out of control.
FINAL SHOWDOWN AT THE SPACE NEEDLE:
During her fight with Silvia at the Space Needle, Joan prepares to use the satellite to destroy the United States to honor her father. While the satellite begins load power, Joan fights Silvia while in Combat Mode, but her suit takes serious damage from Silvia's Atomic Sky Force attack; thus turning her back to normal. She then goes berserk after Silvia destroys the satellite and tries to attack her again, but gets brutally kicked in the stomach; causing her to plummet to her death.
