JOHN VALENTINE
DESCRIPTION:
Dr. Jonathan “John” Valentine was one of the secondary characters in the graphic novel series, “My Life as An American Hero”. He is the husband of Evelyn Valentine and father of Rachel, Ramona, Silvia and Luna. Like his wife, John was also one of the four scientists who created the Power Shakes. His past is very similar too Evelyn’s.
Besides his field in the sciences, he also studied economics and became a part-time investor for Wall Street in Metroville. His stocks increased dramatically that he earned enough money to get into the World National Bank. After moving to Florida with his family, John became Bank President at the World National Bank until his death on April 19th 2045, when the terrorist attacks on Cocoa City began.
APPEARANCE:
Because John is always a busy man, he always wear his business attire outfit than every other clothes; black suit with different color ties and collared shirts underneath. He has black eyes and dark brown hair with two front bangs, just like Luna.
PERSONALITY:
John is a very caring father. He loves his family very much that he's willing to sacrifice everything for them. He can also be strict when it comes to his job and his daughters when it comes to making guy friends and or boyfriends. He's also very intelligent with economics and natural sciences.
EARLY LIFE:
John met Evelyn in their freshman year of Grad School. The two were engaged in discovering a way for civilians to protect themselves from lone-wolf terrorist attacks. After graduation, both got married and decided to search and study minerals. On their trip to Arizona, they saw a rock coming down from the sky. Once they find it, they decide to do some research on it and learn from their sources that the rock contained an extraterrestrial mineral which they call it, Vitanium.

He and Evelyn began to discuss to Alice and Redshaw about the discovery they found within the Vitanium and offered them to assist them to work on the project that'll change humanity forever. Their goal is to create nutritional products
and use the vitanium as a source to power up vitamins and minerals so human beings can obtain super natural powers to defend themselves against terrorists.
During the several weeks John and his team started doing experiments and different analysis and learn about different effects the Vitanium has and what'll happen once it is put on healthy products. Once his and Evelyn's hypothesis was correct they, along with Ponce and Redshaw began developing the Power Shakes and presented it at the World Health Corporation. Unfortunately, Redshaw's obsession with the Vitanium's power changed everything.
After Redshaw left, John, Evelyn and Alice discussed about what to do with the Vitanium and agreed that they will take it to an undisclosed location located in Arizona. Ponce agreed that she will keep it secured. John the told alice that he and Evelyn still want to study the Power Shakes a bit more before deciding to sell it out to the markets.

A couple of weeks later, John spoke to Evelyn, Rachel and Ramona about taking a family trip to Egypt for a few days because Redshaw has been anonymously sending them threats. So they fly to Egypt and stay at the Al-Jarrah hotel in Cairo. Each hotel room had two sections one for adults and the other for kids. John and Evelyn stayed on one side and Rachel and Ramona on the other. Later that night, the hotel was attacked by several terrorists from three different groups. Explosions occurred as the ceiling started crumbling. John and Evelyn ran to the next room to grab the twins but a security guard forced them to evacuate. He desperately wanted to go back inside and rescue Rachel and Ramona when they were out when he saw the guard bringing Rachel to him and Evelyn. John wanted to go back for Ramona, but just before he and a security guard headed back, the hotel collapsed killing others that were still inside, including Ramona.
A month after the attack, John refused to believe that Ramona was dead. He told Evelyn that he was going back to find her and will not believe she's dead until he finds a body. So he flies back to the site where the hotel was but was forbidden to enter the site. So he went back and complained to the Egyptian Authority about security not allowing him to search for her. After realizing that he was one of the tourists who lost his daughter and being threaten by him to file a lawsuit, the authority allowed him to search the destructive area. He called Ramona's name over and over, but there was no answer. One of the officers walked up to him and told him that there was no way she could've survived because her body was disintegrated from the collapse. John ignored the statement and continued search for Ramona every day until Police authorities kicked him out of the area, leaving him to fly home empty handed.
Years later, John and Evelyn received threats from Redshaw stating about Ramona's death and what would happen to him if they refused to give him the location of the Vitanium. John was upset and about it and decided to disconnect the phone line. He called Alice from an anonymous number and explained to her that they're planning to leave Metroville as soon as Silvia graduates the 8th grade and to look after the Hydrogade and Enerjuice they created after the Power Shakes were a success. He also told Rachel, Silvia and Luna that they're planning to start new jobs in Cocoa City as a cover so they won't know the truth about Redshaw believing to responsible for Ramona's death and the about the Vitanium Project.
PRESENT:
A few days after arriving in Florida, John begins his first day as Bank President for the World National Bank due to his background in economics while Evelyn begins searching for schools for Silvia and Luna. He punishes Silvia after she nearly breaks Luna's wrist. The next day, he and Evelyn discuss about what to do about the Power Shakes, which they still carry. Silvia then hears the conversation and tries to get answers. Both and he and Evelyn deny everything in order to prevent the truth from being told. After hearing from Evelyn that Silvia drank the Power Shakes, John calls Alice and tells her about the situation. Later that night, he and Evelyn discuss about telling the girls about the Vitanium Project, but John refuses because he doesn't want their past affect the girls' future. The next day, he heads off to work while Evelyn runs errands and makes appointments to apply Silvia and Luna to school.

COCOA CITY ATTACKS:
The next day after Rachel graduated, John starts his day in his office working on investments until he hears an explosion coming from 20 floors below. One of his colleague rushes into his office telling him that there was an explosion in the building. John wonders how Redshaw knew where they were living and decided to commit a terrorist attack. He then gets a call from Evelyn telling him that the attack is on the news and that he needs to escape now. John then immediately tells his colleague to start escorting everyone out of the building.
As he and his colleague race to the 100th floor, which is the access between stairways B and C, the see smoke coming from underneath the door. John was successfully able to open the door, but as they try to make it through the destroyed floor covered with flames, debris and burned bodies, another explosion throws them hard to the wall killing his colleague and severely injuring him. When Rachel and Silvia reached the sky lobby of the building, John walks slowly and tells them to leave because the building was at the verge of collapse. He makes the ultimate sacrifice, by staying behind and giving Rachel and Silvia enough time to escape. As the building collapses, he says in his thoughts that loves them all very much and to make him proud and then dies in the collapse. His body is soon found a week later in the debris.
